New Juaben South receives new ambulance

The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly with its other thirty-four MMDA’s in the Eastern Region last weekend received each a fully furnished Ambulance in Koforidua.

The 307 ambulances which were in fulfillment of His Excellency, President Akuffo-Addo’s campaign promises before the 2016 election were commissioned at the Accra to beef up health issues and prompt respond to emergency cases in the country.

For our part, the region had its share and was distributed according to all MMDA’s.

Presenting the ambulances keys to the various MMDCE’s, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Eric Kwakye Darfour cautioned the various assemblies to ensure for the good maintenance of the vehicles.

He said, gone were the days the region used to have eighteen (18) which only three (3) ambulances were functioning, but now, has become a thing of the past, saying these ambulances will help improve the living standard of the citizenry in the region and the country as a whole.

According to him, the government of Nana Akuffo-Addo is poised to bring development to the doorstep of the ordinary.

The Regional Minister emphasized that the coming in of these ambulances sought to create hundreds of employment within a space of time and an additional nine hundred (900) staff will soon be recruited and train to achieve the mandate of the ambulances services.

Hon. Kwakye Daffour further admonished the Paramedics and other Operators of the vehicle to use it with decorum in other to extend the life span of edifices and also to benefit the future generations.

Receiving that of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly, the Municipal Chief Executive applauded the President for being a listening father for all Ghanaians.

He was optimistic that the ambulance will be put to good use so that the President’s vision and aspirations will be met.

The MCE assured the public about the Assembly’s readiness to support the activities of the services within the Municipality.

Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi further called on all development partners to come and invest in the Municipality.
