The District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Kena said the projects are expected to hook some 30 communities to the electricity grid after the completion.
He told Ghanadistricts.com in an interview on the project that the completion of the project will have major positive impacts on the socio-economic lives of the people.
He said with electricity, residents in the beneficiary communities would be able to do a lot of things including opening small businesses, light for students to study, recreational purposes, as well as improve security.
Mr. Kena said government’s goal was to provide every community with its fair share of development.
The DCE indicated that, the assembly had provided over 400 bulbs for the streetlights, which had been installed in the communities
The beneficiary communities include: Mem, Richardkope, Adukro, Sebia, Anidzi, Atiwulame, Wodidiada, Bethel, Mafikope, Kamalo, Kayera Kofi Nyina Adofo, Abotanso, among others.
"You all agree with me that the provision of electricity can open up our communities here commercially and enable them to engage in jobs like welding, fabrication and modeling rather than moving to urban centers for non-existent jobs," he said.
Mr Kena therefore entreated the people to cooperate and support the contractors to ensure the smooth completion of the project.
