Speaking at the event, the CEO of Breast Care International, Dr Beatrice Wiafe Addai cautioned the teenage girls and women in Ghana to refrain from the usage of bleaching pomades as research shows that it could cause breast cancer.
She explained that the major cause of breast cancer is not known yet but current research indicates that the feminine gender that had developed the habit of using bleaching pomade stands the risk of getting it.
She added that exercising the body and good diet intake is also a healthy life style that reduces the risk of breast cancer infection.
The DCE for the area Kwadwo Banahene Badiako eulogised Dr Beatrice Wiafe Addai and her associates for extending their benevolence to the district and called on women in poultry not to feel weary in their adventure as the government is rolling out programmes to boast the poultry industry.
The National Chairman for the Poultry Farmers Association, Mr Victor Oppong Agyei appealed to the government to invest extensively in the poultry industry as the country spends a lot of money on its importation and it has major negative impact on the rocketing of the dollar rate against the cedi.
