Savelugu Assembly takes delivery of handwashing kits

Management of the Savelugu Municipal Assembly has taken delivery of handwashing kits.

The donation was made by the Savelugu Water and Sanitation System as part of their corporate social responsibility to help fight the novel COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality and beyond.

Presenting the items, the manager of the group, Mr. Salifu Fusheini, appealed to beneficiary groups and/ or individuals to take good care of the facility and to ensure that the items are put to use to serve the purpose for which they were provided.

Receiving the donation for and on behalf of the assembly, the MCE, Hajia Ayishietu Seidu was grateful to the group for complementing the government's effort at promoting hygiene practices and by extension, containing the spread of the pandemic.

Admitting that the government can't do it all alone, Hajia Seidu appealed to corporate Ghana to come to their aid in moments like this. She particularly appealed to the board of directors and staff of the financial institutions operating in the Savelugu Municipality, namely; ADB, Borimanga rural bank among other institutions and organizations to come to their aid.

The MCE spent quality time demonstrating to the viewing public, the proper way to go about standard handwashing practice as approved and directed by the Ghana Health Service.
