Kwahu South census implementation committee inaugurated

An eight (8) member committee has been inaugurated in Mpraeso to oversee preparations towards the 2020 Population and Housing Census.

The committee chaired by the Co-coordinating Director of the Kwahu South District Assembly, (KSDA) Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo, has the District Statistical Officer, District Information Officer, District Director of Education, District Director of Health, District NCCE Officer, District Director of Health, District Planning Officer and a representative of the traditional council as members.

Inaugurating the committee, a member of the Regional Implementation Committee in the person of Mr. Tony Pappoe disclosed that the District Census Implementation Committee (DIC) would be responsible for publicity and education, facilitating recruitment and training of field personnel as well as identification of suitable facilities to conduct training for enumerators and supervisors among others. The DCE for Kwahu South encouraged the members to work hard.

The committee he added, is also expected to mobilize stakeholder support and educate residents in the District on the essence of the upcoming census.

Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Frimpong Naayo assured that the committee would work hard to ensure credible data and urged members to be up and doing.
