NJNMA distributes motorbikes to Assembly Members

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly have distributed twenty–nine motorbikes (29) to both elected Assembly members and government appointees in the municipality to aid their mobility.

Presenting the motorbikes, the Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante emphasized Government’s commitment to strengthening the Local Governance system, hence the decision to support Assembly members.

She indicated that the delay in giving out the motorbikes early was due to her outfit’s decision to register the motorbikes for the Assembly members to avoid previous challenges they encountered in their registration of the motorbikes.

She urged the beneficiaries to use the motorbikes for the intended purpose and work hard to improve the livelihood of the people in their various Electoral Areas.


The Presiding Member for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Dr. Edward Asante Antwi commended the Assembly members for their support since the creation of the municipality, and encouraged them to continue their selfless service to the people and Ghana at large.

He was optimistic that the motorbikes would help address the transportation challenges facing the Assembly members in their line of duties as law makers in the local governance system.


The Assembly members expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development and the MCE for her continuous commitment to support their plight.

They assured Authorities to use the motorbikes to benefit the people in their electoral areas as well as the Assembly.


The Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji lbrahim Amadu Tijani and other staff of the Assembly were present to grace the ceremony.
