A six unit classroom block by the Catholic Church has been inaugurated for the people of Kukuom in the Asunafo South District of the Brong Ahafo region.

The facility was a special project of the Missionary Servants Sisters of Holy Spirit and estimated at US$ 150,000.

In his inaugural speech, the Omanhene of Kukuom Traditional Council Osahene Kwaku Artekyi II appealed to parents to embrace education since that is the centre nerve of socio-economic development of a nation.

He noted that, without parents’ efforts to complement strict adherence to discipline at home and readiness to provide the necessary needs of children, the driving force of tutors will not yield desired results.

In an address, the Head Mistress of the school Sr. Mary Laureen said the only gift parents can give to their children is the wonderful gift of education and therefore thanked Nana Kwaku Aterkyi II for generously releasing a parcel of land for the mission to establish the school.
