Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, has sworn into office Mr. Abraham Atta Bosompem, the Asunafo South District Chief Executive.

The regional minister reminded the DCE he represented all the people in the district and urged him to avoid divisive tendencies and to work in harmony with the people.

Mr. Nyamekye-Marfo advised the new DCE to build and ensure a healthy relationship with party executives as well as the chiefs to facilitate the rapid development of the district.

He said since chiefs were the embodiment of the people the DCE’s failure to involve them in decision making would affect the development of the area.

Mr. Bosompem pledged to work hard for the development of the area.He said education, health and the environment were his major areas of priority and promised to work hard to help improve them.

Mr. Bosompem advised the Assembly Members to bury their political differences and ensure a united front so they could initiate programmes that would facilitate development.

The new DCE expressed concern about the poor road network in the area and stated that since majority of the people were farmers he would ensure that some major roads in the area would be put in good shape.
