About 86 persons with disabilities in the Asante Akyem Municipality have been supported with an amount of GH¢17,428.00 to help improve their lives.

Beneficiaries were given between GH¢100.00 and GH¢1,000.00 respectively.

The move which was announced by the Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Braimah Boyong forms within the assembly mandatory to allocate two percent share of its Common Fund to support such people within the municipality.

He however assured that the assembly was ever ready to ensure that such funds are rightfully allocated and also expressed his expectation for the monies will be put into in income-generating ventures, and other necessary investments to help turn their fortune around.
