The Asante Akyem Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region is set to complete an ongoing 25 capacity building to accommodate some police personnel in the area.

The facility is also aimed at motivating personnel of the Asante Akyem Central Divisional police command to be more effective and efficient in their daily operations.

Speaking at the Assembly’s general meeting, the Municipal Chief Executive Alhaji Braimah Bouyong stated that his outfit has already allocated funds to enable its completion on time to ensure its intended purpose.

According to him, one major concerns of government is to equip the Ghana Police Service since socio-economic growth in every country was impossible without adequate security for its citizenry.

He observed that the police could be adequately equipped if their accommodation concerns were met.

The DCE however expressed his appreciation Police personnel for working tireless in ensuring maximum security in the area and also pledged the assembly’s support for the service.
