The Ekumfi District Assembly is making real its resolve to make road networks motorable in the district.

The assembly has started reshaping some selected town roads including Dunkwa Abontin-Dunkwa Abokwakyia, as well as Ekumfi Swedru-Asokwa-Abeka-Adumasa-Asaasa. 

This is in line with plans to improve economic activity in the area especially carting of farm produce from farms and the movements of other goods and services.
 
The roads which are being worked on under the department of feeder roads are very important to the socioeconomic activities of the people in the district as most of the targeted roads lead especially to major farming areas.

District Chief Executive for the Ekumfi District, Mr. I.K Dawson admitted that as a new district they are faced with a number of challenges; one being poor road infrastructure but was confident the assembly would be able to bring some improvements to most of the roads in the short term while government intervention is sort for their construction.
