The Central Regional Security Council led by the regional minister, Hon. Samuel Sarpong on Monday visited the bereaved families of last Saturday shooting incident.

The Security Council went to access the situation and institute measures to prevent any further escalation of the situation. The minister also used the opportunity to console the bereaved families.

The minister directed the district assembly to offer any form of assistance to enable the bereaved families bury their dead.

Four people lost their lives with one critically injured during the coronation of a new chief at Ekumfi Esarkyir when musketry mistakenly shot live bullet among the crowd.

The incident turned the whole celebration into grief as residents still wondered what actually went wrong leading to such a tragic incident.
