President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Mr. Alex Kwame Bonsu as the new Chief Executive for the Amansie West District Assembly in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.

The New nominee however, will need the approval of not less than two-thirds majority of members of the Assembly to guarantee his confirmation.

Mr. Nkrumah was part of the thirty more MMDCE’s who were appointed this week by President John Mahama to head various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies after approval.

Meanwhile members of the assembly are also expected to converge with immediate effect as to whether or not to approve their newly appointed DCE.
