Chiefs and people of Manso Adubia in the Amesie West District in the Ashante Region have appealed to government to immediately come to their aid and improve the poor condition of the Health Centre in the area.

According to them, the Adubia Health Centre which is supposed to be a venue for receiving health care is gradually becoming a place where peoples health status keeps worsening as the situation there does not promote quality health.

Speaking to Accra based Hot FM, the Chief of Adubia, Nana Doku Darku II, stated that the Health Centre which was built in 1952 needs a lot of development in terms of infrastructure to accommodate the teeming patients who throng the centre for health care.

He noted that currently one ward in the centre accommodate children, male and female patients, a situation which does not augur well for the healing process of patients on admission.

Nana Doku Darku II said, calls on former District Chief Executive and previous Members of Parliament has proven futile as the deplorable situation at the Health Centre persist.

On education, he disclosed that the public school in the area which was constructed in 1947 is currently posing as a threat trap for both the students and the teachers who use the facility.

Nana Doku Darku II added that the situation has resulted in some of the student resorting to truancy while teachers posted to the school refuse to teach for fear of the building crumbling on them.

He urged government to focus its attention on improving the infrastructural development of the area as it cannot not boast of any modern infrastructure such as schools, roads etcetera.
