The District Chief Executive for Nabdam, Vivian Anafo has handed over some 180 set of furniture to the Sakote Methodist Sec-Tech meant to aid the school in teaching and learning activities.

The DCE made the donation in a short function held at Sakote, which was witnessed by some opinion leaders like the Chief of Sakote, Naaba Asigri Bewong and the assemblyman for the area, Douglas T.

Madam Vivian Anafo said, the gesture followed a request made by the school authorities in August last year for support to improve facilities at the school.

Madam Anafo thereby indicated that she consequently resolved with the assembly to lend support to the school for the purpose of beefing up infrastructure at the school and also increase the quality of education in the area.

She was therefore optimistic that this gesture will assist enhance the comfort of school children in their lessons and improve conditions at the school.

She claimed education remains one of the key areas in the assembly’s development agenda, as a result of this it will endeavour to invest more in education and give it a major boost across the length and breadth of the district.
