The assemblyman for Adukrom in the Kwahu North district in the Eastern Region, Ferguson Asare has appealed to government and the district assembly to complete all abandoned road projects in the area.

Mr. Asare bemoaned how all MiDA funded road construction projects have been abandoned, some for more than four years. According to him, many promises by the District Chief Executive that the projects have been reawarded have not yielded any positive result and the roads continue to deteriorate.

He said rather than being a blessing, the roads now posed danger to residents and all their economic activities. It is very difficult for cars to ply the roads and those that ply also charge exorbitant fares.

On energy, the assembly said the whole electoral area is not connected to the national electricity grid so small scale enterprises cannot be established since most machines run on electricity. The thus call for early extension of electricity to the area to improve economic undertakings.
