All eighty-six assembly members in the Kwahu North District in the Eastern Region havereceived theior motorbikes at a short ceremony at the assembly.

In a caution statement to the members, District Chief Executive, Ibrahim Issaka advised them not to be reckless on the road, instead they should observe traffic regulations to serve as examples to other road users as well as avoid getting into trouble with the law.

He also cautioned those who have not yet mastered their riding skills to do that to save their own lives and that of others.

The DCE also indicated that, distribution of the motorbikes was a good opportunity for the members to visit their electorates regular as that was the main motivation for given them the bikes in the first place.

According to him, the success of the assembly’s work depend to a large extend on how they relate with the people at the grassroots because information collected from them informs policy decisions as well as programs at the assembly.

Mr. Ibrahim Issaka also entreated them to ensure regular maintenance of the motorbikes.
