KWAHU N: DCE cuts sod for Donkorkrom lorry park project

The Donkorkrom lorry park in the Kwahu North District in the eastern Region is to be given a facelift to make it more conducive for users.

The Donkorkrom lorry park in the Kwahu North District in the eastern Region is to be given a facelift to make it more conducive for users.

The additional facilities to be added is hoped to attract and increase economic activities in the area which will in the long run benefit farmers and fishermen in the district.

At sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of construction works, District Chief Executive for the area, Ibrahim Issaka noted that the lorry station being located in the district capital plays an important role in the lives of the people and called on all those around to provide room for the construction to go on smoothly.

He said the contractor has three months to complete work and requires cooperation from all and sundry. 

According to him, the construction requires pavement of the entire market, erection of passenger sheds as well as offices for the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, GPRTU officials.
