In less than a month, more than 10 boreholes have been rolled out for deprived areas in the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region.
The projects which are at various levels of completion were for communities including Kojodubeng, Korchikrom Savior Church, Sikambra, Subrisu among others.
In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive for Bosome Freho Assembly, Mr. Kwame Adarkwah said the project was to provide the people with an alternative means of accessing water as consistent activities of galamsey operators have polluted their water bodies.
He said the projects would help to make safe water available and accessible to all in those deprived towns expressing the hope that the facilities would be completed soon.
In another development, Mr. Adarkwa said the assembly’s new administration block which the President cut sod for its construction some months ago was currently at roofing level.
