In the quest to boost the economy of the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region, the Chief Executive for the area, Kwame Adarkwah, has inaugurated a new rural bank at Asiwa in the District.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the Chief Executive, Kwame Adarkwah observed that for so long the district capital, Bosome Freho, had been without a rural bank, which made it difficult for most people in the town to access loans and other credit facilities.

For this reason, the Chief Executive said, the assembly established the bank to solve the lapses affecting the economy of the district as well as creating employment opportunities for others in the area.

Mr. Adarkwah was happy to disclose that although the Bosome Freho Rural Bank was opened today, more than 200 people had open accounts with the bank by the close of the day.

He was hopeful that more people especially the farmers would utilize this opportunity.
