Area council members in the Bosome Freho District, in the Ashanti Region, are currently undergoing a 2-day training programme aimed at equipping them with professional skills and the expertise in revenue mobilization.

The training will enable them generate enough revenue for the district assembly to undertake more development projects.

Mr. Kwame Adarkwah, Chief Executive for the Bosome Freho District who confirmed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com noted that it was very difficult for them to mobilize enough funds thereby affecting the revenue base of the assembly.

He was hopeful the assembly’s revenue base would shoot up to an appreciable level after the training programme.
