BIA: Gov commended for investing in LESDEP

The Member of Parliament for the Bia Constituency in the Western Region, Michael Coffie Boampong has applauded the government for investing heavily in the Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) in the country.

The Member of Parliament for the Bia Constituency in the Western Region, Michael Coffie Boampong has applauded the government for investing heavily in the Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) in the country.

According to him, the programme has reduced the level unemployment in the country especially among the youth.

The MP, Michael Coffie Boampong was speaking at a graduation ceremony organized by the LESDEP to graduate about 100 youth who had benefited from the training programme in the constituency.

He however implored the youth to take advantage of the programme.

The District Chief Executive for the Bia District, Kobina Tweneboah Kodua also expressed apart from training, the graduands would also be provided with the necessary kits to enhance their work.

Sewing machines, catering equipment, mini trucks, mobile phones repair kits, barbering and beauty care kits are part of the equipment to be given to the graduands.

The LESDEP programme is an initiative by the government to help support small and medium scale enterprises in the country.
