NADOWLI:Assembly to push economic empowerment of people

The District Chief Executive for the Nadowli District Assembly, Abu Kasangabata has stated that the Assembly would this year focus more on the economic empowerment of people to reduce poverty in the area.

The District Chief Executive for the Nadowli District Assembly, Abu Kasangabata has stated that the Assembly would this year focus more on the economic empowerment of people to reduce poverty in the area.

He reiterated that government has established numerous economic interventions as a mechanism to help improve the lives of the people and therefore will not relent in its effort to use these programmes as an approach to solving the economic difficulties of the people.

Mr. Abu Kasangabata  in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com stated that his outfit remains committed to improving the living conditions of the youth.

About 26 persons benefited from start up kits, including Sewing machines, hairdressing kits amongst others to help them begin a venture. The programme was funded by the International fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) with support from the World Bank.

He re-echoed that this year was a “year of hope”, hence the Assembly will go miles to push massive developments in the area to reflect the “Better Ghana” agenda.
