The Nadowli District Assembly is still keeping pace with development issues, as three roads in the area have been earmarked to open the bid for execution this year.

The Assembly has assured its commitment to get the Konni, Nadowli-Gberung, Nwin roads constructed under the Ghana Social Opportunity Programme (GSOP) as a way to boost economic activities in these areas.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive for the area, Abu Kasangabata, intimated that this year the Assembly will duly complete all projects meant for last year, as well as implement
measures to sustain other new projects which are yet to be implemented.

He stressed that the area will again benefit from the construction of a maternity ward, which is also captured under the GSOP at Issa.

According to him the ongoing project when completed will go a long way to address maternal health problems, as well as improve the
quality of health delivery in the area.

The DCE further maintained that the Assembly in line with its mandate to seek the welfare of the people would endeavour to create
more job opportunities through the Rural Enterprise Projects and also empower the people economically.
