In the Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern Region, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Dennis Aboagye visited a number of schools including Larteh Methodists Primary, and Presbyterian Primary among others to welcome the pupils to school.

Interacting with the pupils, the MCE shared some nostalgic moments with the pupils having been an old student of the school when he was a kid like them.

He used the occasion to entreat the kids never to give up on their studies, set high standard in life so as to become prominent men and women in society since education is the key.  “I urged the little ones to make humility and constant studying part of their lives”.

Mr.  Aboagye also advised the pupils to be regular in school adding that absenteeism will only draw them back in their studies.

Furthermore, the MCE spoke about the advantages they stand to get from the free basic and senior high school education as its now being rolled out describing it as the biggest opportunity to become prominent men and women in the near future.

The teachers were however charged by the MCE, to play an exemplary role to the pupils since that’s the only way to bring up responsible people to take over the realms of leadership in the future.
