The idea was to augment the teaching and learning of ICT in Basic and Senior High Schools in the country. Earlier on Thursday 29th, the MCE donated similar items to Presbyterian Secondary Technical School (PSTS) at Lateh and Mt. Sinai Senior High in Akropong.

PLC is a special workshop earmark on a particular day in a month in all Senior High Schools in Ghana to discuss teaching techniques among teachers in the classroom. Mr. Barima peppered the tutors at PRESEC to put in their maximum best in raising the academic standard in the school.

He was of the view that the school has done very well during the past WASSCE but that was not enough and that the school should raise the bar a little high to chalk 70% in the fourth coming examination.

He said teaching is an art so every teacher should be pragmatic and design his own means just to deliver. He gave plaudits to the headmistress and the staff for the vast transformation in the school so far.

He stressed that for whom much is given much is expected so the tablets were meant for the ICT laboratory to help raise and facilitate the teaching and learning of ICT and its equivalents in the school.

He said it is part of the government agenda to make sure the number of educational policies outlined thrives well in the country but first, each school should justify its inclusion by doing well academically in order to attract incentives, he concluded.

The Municipal GES Director, Mr. Lawrence Dzah and the headmistress of PRESEC, all took turns in commending the MCE and government for such remarkable feat. They all could not but agreed that the tablets would go a long way to facilitate the teaching and learning of ICT as well as the Sciences in no small way.

The Headmistress thanked the MCE and received the items on behalf of the school.
