ASUTIFI N: District Hospital, Ambulance Service receive logistics

The District Chief Executive of Asutifi North, Anthony Adjei Mensah has disclosed the District Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with the District Hospital and National Ambulance Service by providing them with logistics to enhance their performance.

He gave the assurance when the Assembly presented furniture, flat-screen television and a double-door fridge for the effective and efficient delivery at the hospital.

According to Mr. Mensah, the presentation by the District Assembly is to enhance the effective commencement of the Hospital and smooth running of the Ambulance Service in the District.

He also reiterated that the construction of the District Hospital started in 2018 and so far 68-bed capacity ward is completed with theatre plus maternity and children’s ward. Also, the District Hospital now has a Medical Doctor, Human Resource, Administrator and a Procurement Officer, the District to have its own Hospital is a relief to me he added.

The District Health Director, Mr. Foster Nyarko who received the items on behalf of the Hospital expressed gratitude to the Assembly whilst promising to ensure they are put to good use.

Officer Franklin Ntiamoah who received the items on behalf of the Ambulance Service similarly expressed their office's gratitude to the District Assembly. He said the government's commitment to providing efficient health care will be achieved.

The items were procured through the District Assembly’s Internally Generated Fund.
