Sissala West: New KG Block Commissioned at Jeffisi Gowi to Boost Early Childhood Education

A new Kindergarten (KG) block has been commissioned at Jeffisi Gowi in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region, marking another important step towards improving educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for children in the community.

The facility was officially commissioned by the Member of Parliament for Sissala West Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sissala West, Hon. Fuseini Gbene Abudu, in collaboration with traditional chiefs and elders of Jeffisi.

The newly constructed KG block is expected to provide young learners in Jeffisi Gowi with a safe, comfortable and conducive environment to begin their educational journey.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu emphasised the importance of investing in early childhood education, describing the new facility as more than just a physical structure but an investment in the future of children and the wider community.

He noted that providing quality educational infrastructure at the early childhood level was essential to laying a strong foundation for children's academic development and future aspirations.

Hon. Sukparu stressed that when communities invest in children today, they are building a stronger, better educated and more prosperous society for tomorrow.

The DCE for Sissala West, Hon. Fuseini Gbene Abudu, also underscored the importance of improving educational infrastructure across the district and reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance access to quality education.

He expressed appreciation to the MP, traditional authorities, community leaders and residents for their continued collaboration towards the development of Jeffisi Gowi and the Sissala West District.

The traditional chiefs and elders of Jeffisi also expressed their appreciation to the MP, the DCE and the government for supporting the development of the community and providing the children with an improved learning environment.

The commissioning of the KG block marks another significant addition to educational infrastructure in the Sissala West District and is expected to provide children in Jeffisi Gowi with a strong foundation for their educational journey.

The project further demonstrates the importance of collaboration among government, local authorities, traditional leaders and communities in advancing education and sustainable development in the Upper West Region.
