The intervention was undertaken by the Bel Aqua Care Foundation through the initiative and support of Ghanaian online journalist and former student of the school, Kobby Kyei, as part of efforts to give back to his alma mater and support the welfare of students.

The handover ceremony brought renewed attention to the importance of access to clean and reliable water in schools, particularly for maintaining proper sanitation, hygiene and the general wellbeing of students and staff.

The two mechanised boreholes are expected to significantly ease the water challenges confronting Nyankumasi Ahenkro SHS, providing students and staff with a more dependable source of water for their daily activities.

The initiative was commended as a meaningful investment in the school and in the future of young people, with appreciation extended to the Bel Aqua Care Foundation and Kobby Kyei for their contribution.

The Assin South District has also reaffirmed its commitment to working with individuals, organisations and development partners whose interventions contribute to improving living conditions and strengthening educational infrastructure across the district.

The latest intervention demonstrates how partnerships between the private sector, individuals and local authorities can make a tangible difference in schools and communities.

For the students and staff of Nyankumasi Ahenkro SHS, the new boreholes bring more than water—they provide relief, improved hygiene and a stronger foundation for effective teaching and learning.
