Prez Mahama Commissions Paga SHS E-Block, Announces more projects in Kassena Nankana West

President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned a newly constructed E-Block at Paga Senior High School (SHS) in the Kassena Nankana West District of the Upper East Region, unveiling a series of development initiatives to boost education and infrastructure in the area.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by traditional authorities, students, and residents of Paga, who warmly welcomed the President and his delegation.

Boost for Education

President Mahama announced that Paga SHS will be converted into a boarding school beginning next academic year. To support this transition, government will construct a boys’ dormitory, girls’ dormitory, and a dining hall, and provide the school with a brand-new 60-seater bus to enhance teaching and learning.

Infrastructure Commitment

Addressing concerns about the broken Navio Bridge, the President assured residents that the project would soon be awarded to a contractor for rehabilitation, restoring safe and reliable access for commuters within the district.

On water supply challenges, he pledged to engage the leadership of Community Water and Ghana Water Limited to explore sustainable solutions for connecting Paga and surrounding communities in Kassena Nankana West District to the national water system.
