BINDURI: DCE Commissions six boreholes for communities

Ayinga Abagre Yakubu the sitting District Chief Executive of Binduri Assembly has commissioned six (6) boreholes in six (6) communities as part of his boreholes Safe Water Campaign in the District.

Mr. Ayinga said access to a clean and constant supply of water is essential for life not only does it keep the human body alive and functioning and so together with his assembly will address the acute water shortage in the District.

The beneficiary places were Bazua, Alhaji 44 Market, Nayoko No.2 JHS, Zawse- Natinga, Binduri Central, and the District Assembly.

He said these places have been without water for so long, and so these projects are to help reduce water shortages at the communities and thereby increases the water coverage in the District.



In a ceremony handing over the projects, he noted that it's his desire to provide boreholes for all communities with water problems, because “water is life.

He added that the indigenes should appreciate the developmental projects in all spheres of the District by endorsing him and President Nana Addo come December 7.



He also appealed to the leadership of the Communities to take good care of the facilities to prolong their life span and advised that they should constitute committees responsible for the maintenance of these facilities.

Residents within the six places expressed appreciation for the timely intervention and emphasized how they were previously left without option but to trek miles to access water from rivers that are fast drying up.
