STEP Project launch in Binduri District

The District Chief Executive for Binduri Assembly, Yakubu Ayinga Abagre has spearheaded the launch of the Skills Towards Employability and Productivity (STEP) Project under the National Youth Authority held at the Assembly conference Hall.

He said the purpose of the program is to provide training to some selected Youth as a step in fighting the rate of unemployment in the district and the country at large.

The Program as a start-up has a beneficiary of 20 Members across the Binduri district with 8 selected experts to provide them with training in their respective fields, he added.

The fields of trade are Cosmetology, Hairdressing, Dress Making and Satellite Installation of which beneficiaries were given logistics to help facilitate their training and skills development.


The DCE thanked the Authority for such a great opportunity from their end and as well as the Government for always prioritizing the youth and the citizenry at large.

It is our hope and prayer that the program will go a long way to enhance and equip the teaming youth with the requisite skills needed for the betterment of our society.

Fast forward, he also received the Upper East Regional Director of Ghana Ambulance Service in his office, where he shared with him their activities for the year and some of the challenges that confront their sector and the way forward as far as the Ghana Ambulance Service is concerned.

It was indeed a nice time with the said director.
