DCE, PC cut sod for construction of bridge over Azumsapeliga-Sakpare River

The District Chief Executive of Binduri, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu, and the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Binduri, Abdulai Abanga cut sod for the commencement of work on a bridge that will link Azumsapeliga and Sakpare.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony to commence the construction of a bridge on Azumsapeliga-Sakpare, Abdulai Abanga said, this project which upon completion, will be the single largest investment ever made by the government in the Sakpare-Poyamire Electoral Area of the Binduri District.

He added that the era of voting for symbols is over, therefore the indigenes should desist from voting for symbols and vote for kind-hearted personalities that will bring more developmental projects to their doorsteps.

The DCE added that the project would also prove to the naysayers that the NPP government meant well for the good people of Binduri Constituency, and the bridge when completed will link Azumsapeliga to Sakpare and the surrounding communities.



The contract is awarded to Binga Company Limited. He added that, as they are happy today, they should transform it into votes come December 7 for Hon. Abanga and the NPP.

The Chief for Azumsapeliga speaking at the ceremony, he said, this bridge will bring relief to the residents especially during the raining season.

He narrated that, during the rainy season, the Water mostly carries people with their donkeys and trucks away leading to loss of lives and properties.

The Chief of Sakpare, also lamented how they have been crying since immemorial for previous governments to come to their aid but their cry yielded no fruit.

He said, their biggest thanks goes to the DCE, PC, and the visionary President of the Country for this timely intervention.
