MCE donates dual desks to basic schools

The Municipal Chief Executive of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Comfort Asante, Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr.Alhaji Tijani and the Deputy Director of Ghana Education Service, Mr. Samuel Tettey has donated 180 dual desks to basic schools to enhance teaching and learning in the Municipality.

The beneficiaries schools were S.D.A DEMO Basic A, B and C, Salvation army school, Akwadum R/C Primary, Akwadum Islamic Basic,Oyoko R/C Basic,Asikasu Presby Primary, Jumapo Anglican Basic, Jumapo Methodist Basic, Suhyen S.D.A Basic,Effiduase R/C Basic A and B ,Effiduase Presby Basic A and B and Mpaem M/A Basic.

Madam Comfort Asante said the donation would help reduce the furniture deficit in the schools within the municipality and make the pupils feel more comfortable to enable them to focus on their studies.” The donation was to create a conductive environment for the pupils to study well and improve their academic performance". She added.

The MCE urged management of the schools to take good care of the desks provided.” They should educate the children to keep them safe at all times”. She added.

The deputy municipal education officer received the dual desks on behalf of the directorate thanks the Assembly and the government for their support which have come at the time the municipality is facing shortage of furniture in our schools due to increase in enrolment as a results of free education.

The Headmaster of various schools was so excited and thanked the Member of Parliament, Nana Adjei Boateng and the Municipal Chief Executive for this kind gesture.
