DCE donates to Twifo Praso District Health Directorate

The District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi on Friday, April 3, 2020 donated relief items meant to aid in the fight against the pandemic disease, Coronavirus, (COVID-19), to the District Health Directorate to be distributed to all health centres within the district on behalf of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In his speech, Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi noted that the fight against COVID-19 is one that all persons must come together to fight against. He chipped in that, to be able to achieve a COVID-19 free environment, each person must practice good personal hygiene, especially the concept of hand washing.

He also said the District Assembly had procured some flash drives with educational audio files on the pandemic, to be aired by all Information Centers as well as Radio stations within the district for the continuation of the COVID-19 sensitization.

The District Health Director, Mrs. Mavis Narh who received the items on behalf of the District Health Directorate, expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana and to the District Chief Executive for undertaking such an initiative in these trying times.

Dr. Benjamin Annan took the opportunity to educate all present on some measures to be observed as well as demonstrating the handwashing technique. He further stated that the district had not recorded any case as of yet.

The items donated included, veronica buckets, bucket stands, hand sanitizers, dustbins, tissues, liquid soaps, and educational stickers.
