The Assembly's response to the COVID-19 has been impressive, the DCE, Richmond Amponsah mentioned in his special address at the meeting.

He disclosed that the Public Health Emergency Committee (PHEC) has held several meetings, taken decisions, and adopted measures that had helped contain the spread of the virus to the district until the end of May when it recorded two cases.

The Assembly has so far distributed about 12,000 face masks, 500 Veronica buckets, 1000s of tissues, bottle liquid soaps, and hand sanitizers to market women, commercial drivers, schools, the vulnerable, and the general public in the fight against the virus.

The district has also undertaken major infrastructure projects; a twenty-unit lockable store at the Achiase Central Market which is at the completion level, a fourteen-unit lockable market store at Aperade Central Market under construction, renovation of school buildings, construction of CHPS compounds in various communities, construction of various water projects in various communities among others.

He encouraged members of the Second Assembly to work with the Assembly to improve the Assembly's low IGF performance through the generation of a database for properties, GPS addresses for all structures and also help with the initial work for street naming in the district.
