Achiase district assembly support PWDS

The Achiase District Assembly has donated relief items and cash to some Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the district to make them financially independent and improve their living conditions.

The items which were procured from the District’s share of the Disability Fund include wheelchairs, refrigerators and a complete set of electric sewing machines to empower PWDs to undertake sustainable economic ventures.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Richmond Amposah assured them that the Assembly would continue to empower them to be self-sustaining and keep them from begging to subsist.

He then called on the Social welfare Department to do proper monitoring to ensure that beneficiaries use the items for the purposes for which they were granted.

The PWDs commended the Assembly and also promised to put the items to productive use to their own advantage.
