Drobohene appeals to Government for Development
The Omanhene of the Drobo Traditional area in the Jaman South Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region, Okokyeredom Sakyi-Ako II have has appealed to government and development partners to invest their resources in the area to enhance and tap into the economic potentials of the area.

This according to him will not only open up the area but create job avenues for residents to partner government towards the realization its vision of developing deprived communities in the country.
He made the appeal at a Town Hall Meeting organized in Drobo by the Ministry of Information (MOI) in conjunction with the Information Services Department (ISD).
The Omanhene, who also chaired the function in disclosing the plight of his community to the government in his address called on residents to demonstrate their community to development by being discipline and law abiding.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Abuu in response reiterated government’s commitment to developing communities and areas in the country in fulfillment of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign pledge in 2016.
He highlighted on governments flagship programmes, projects and interventions such as planting for Foods and Jobs, One District-One Factory, Free SHS, Agriculture, Cocoa sector support among others with pictorial evidence.
He therefore appealed to residents to take advantage of the interventions and programmes to better their standard of living.
On the Nations Builders Corps (NABCO), Alhaji Abuu explained the rationale is to create employment opportunities for the jobless graduates in the country and encouraged graduates to patiently wait for their postings.
The Regional Information Officer (RIO), Mr. Imoro T. Ayibani on behalf of the sector Minister, explained the forum was one of the tools used by his outfit to deepen and ensure transparency and participation in governance.
He therefore urged participants to de-politicize the exercise as a demonstration of their commitment to the nation’s development.
