KUMAWU: 625 LEAP beneficiaries received GHS54495.24 - DCE

The District Chief Executive of Sekyere Kumawu, Samuel Addai Agyeikum has described the President as the most empathic kind of leader that the country has ever had.

He explained that, though there are a lot of things that occupies the mind of the president, he still has time to channel resources to cushion the poor and vulnerable in the country.

He continued that, the amount quoted above is per district as LEAP fund and when it is summed up it is huge and could have been used for other developmental course but because the government is tackling poverty boot for boot, the fund has to be expended on this social intervention.



According to him, the Sekyere Kumawu District has seen a lot of developmental projects since the inception of this government and it is a clear indication that a lot would be done for the nation in the subsequent years.

The DCE stated this when an amount of GHS54495.24 was distributed to 625 beneficiaries of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme at Oyoko.
