LEKMA: MCE presents food items to muslim community

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ledzokuku, Mr. Modecai Quashie, has presented food items to Muslim community in Teshie as they go through the holy month of Ramadan

The items include sugar, milk, rice, oil, tea leaf among others.

Presenting the items, the MCE indicated that the gesture is in support of Muslims as they embark on fasting and prayers and urged the Imam to pray for peace and leadership of the country especially the President and urged them to be steadfast in their faith and pursue the virtues of the religion such as peace, righteousness, love, harmonious living.

He pleaded with them to continue leaving cordially with each other irrespective of their political and religious affiliation, adding that Ghanaians are one people and the country abhorred discrimination; therefore it is important that such a harmonious relationship among residents would be sustained to promote development in the area.

The leadership of the Teshie Muslim community thanked the MCE for his support.
