Assembly commissions mechanized boreholes for three communities
The Sekyere Central District Assembly has commissioned two mechanized boreholes for the Amoamang and Ankamadoa communities, funded by the District Assembly and an additional non-mechanized borehole for the people of the Ohemaa-Dida (Dagaati) community which was funded by an NGO.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr.Benjamin Kingsley Koduah in his address admonished Nananom and people of the beneficiary communities to constitute Oversight committees charged with the duty of ensuring the management and maintenance of these facilities in order to ensure that these projects continue to serve the people of these communities for a long period of time.
He admonished Nananom and Assembly Members of these communities to ensure accountability of all funds generated from the usage of these water systems by community folks as it could serve as seed funds to embark on some of the numerous community self-help projects they desire.
Mr. Koduah also expressed gratitude to the NGO for their generous gesture in improving upon the livelihood of citizens of the District especially those in the far to reach communities.
He also used the opportunity to call on the support of other benevolent donors and organizations to emulate the gesture and to support the District Assembly to help address the numerous socio-economic and infrastructural needs of the District and the improvement of the living standard of its citizenry.
