Sekyere Central gives items worth 120,000.00 to PWDs

The Sekyere Central Assembly has presented business equipment valued at one twenty thousand Ghana Cedis (GH?120,000.00) to some persons with disabilities towards their socioeconomic empowerment.

The items presented included bags of charcoal to farm inputs, popcorn machines, mattresses, sound system, deep freezers and soft drinks.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area Mr. Benjamin Kingsley Koduah noted that the government intends to sustain such support programmes to mitigate the vulnerability PWDs face in society to improve their livelihood as part of other plans.

He, therefore, admonished them to desist complaining of not having jobs but rather acknowledge the support given by government and put them to worthy use to better their livelihood and further advised them to be ambitious, steadfast and patient to grow their business successfully to be able to cater for their family members.

Beneficiaries were grateful to the government and the Assembly for prioritizing the needs of PWDs.
