DCE embarked on community engagement at Atonsu-Abordease

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Central, Mr. Benjamin Kingley Koduah has organized a community engagement program for Chiefs and people of Atonsu-Abordease to afford him the opportunity to interact with citizens while being informed of challenges that require the intervention of the Assembly for resolution.

Nananom expressed profound gratitude to the Assembly for the numerous intervention projects that have been of immense benefit to the community with major emphasis on the evacuation of the various refuse dumping sites which has helped improve the sanitation situation in the community.

Residents seized the opportunity to highlight issues such as the need for the construction of the inner roads as well as a technical intervention to rechannel the flowing river on the main Kyebi-Atonsu stretch of road.

The DCE lauded the good efforts of the Assembly Members of the Electoral Areas for their immense contribution and service towards the work of the Assembly and further highlighted major youth-targeted policies of the government which has helped address issues of youth unemployment in the District of which residents of the community were major beneficiaries of these initiatives.

He further urged the community to initiate self-help projects to complement the efforts of the Assembly in addressing the numerous infrastructural challenges of the community.

Mr. Koduah further emphasized the great efforts of the Member of Parliament, Madam Adelaide Ntim to the development of the District and expressed gratitude for the great working relationship that exists between them which has helped in the lobbying of many development projects for the District.

The DCE also commissioned a newly constructed DACF mechanized borehole for the community and therefore charged the unit committee and the community to ensure effective maintenance of the facility in order to serve its intended purpose.
