Akyem Yeboakrom gets new 6-Unit classroom block
A 6-unit classroom block with space for ICT, store and staff room has been commissioned at Akyem Yeboakrom in the Birim Central Municipality.

The facility, which was commissioned by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Mrs. Victoria Adu, is expected to replace a makeshift structure which previously served as classrooms for school pupils in the area.
The project, which is first of its kind in the community, was funded through the Ghana Education Trust fund (GETFund) facility.
Addressing a gathering at a colorful ceremony, the MCE expressed his gratitude to community for voting massively for the NPP in the 2020 elections to retain power.
She seized the opportunity to thank the proprietor of solid foundation institute, the school which has now been converted in public school, for his contributions towards education in the community.
She appealed to parents to reciprocate the kind gesture by the government by making sure that their children benefit from the facility.
On his part, Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, thanked the people of Yeboakrom for the support, insisting that the government is bent on making education accessible to all.
He assured the people of his outfit’s firm determination to convert the Essam Community Health Planning Service (CHPS) Compound to a health centre to help bring quality healthcare to the people. He added that plans are also underway to construct a CHPs compound at Yeboakrom in oder to bring healthcare to the doorstep of the people.
Also speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Education for Birim Central, Mr Benjamin Cudjoe urged the community to make good use of the school building. He said the conversion of Solid foundation institute to a public school is the reason why the town needed such a building.
He added that, GES will soon post more teachers to help beef up the number of teachers in the school.
Meanwhile, items such as school uniforms, teaching and learning materials, teacher's table and chairs and desks were also provided to the school.
