Adhere to all preventive protocols -MCE

Mrs. Susana Akomeah the Municipal Chief Executive for Asante Akim Central has admonished the general public to adhere to the preventive protocols put in place by the government to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She made the call when she visited Mechanic shops, lorry parks,taxi ranks, traders and markets in the Municipality to distribute face masks and sanitizers with the Municipal covid-19 response team.

The MCE advised the public to comply with the wearing of face masks, observing social distance in the market places and regular use of hand sanitizers as well as washing of hands with soap and running water frequently.

"This is a challenging time for all of us.

Not only people in this Municipality but the country Ghana as a whole. I am confident that this situation will not be with us forever depending upon how we all protect ourselves and each other” she said.

Mrs. Akomeah noted that the Assembly is making an effort to distribute more face masks and hand sanitizers to other towns through Mosques and churches within the Municipality.
