MCE embarked on mask wearing campaign

The Asante Akim Central Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mrs. Susan Akomeah has embarked on an exercise to enforce nose mask wearing to ensure compliance of the nose mask-wearing order imposed by the government to curb the further spread of the Corona-virus pandemic.

The MCE during her interaction with the people stated that nose mask wearing is now mandatory and the Assembly will continue to educate the people in the area on the need to wear them to protect themselves, friends and family from the virus adding that recalcitrant citizens who would try to ignore the mask wearing will not only risk their own health but can also be arrested and pay on the spot fund of GHs20 to the Assembly.

She indicated that a team will soon be inaugurated to help enforce the wearing of nose masks at the various towns, communities and checkpoints within the Municipality.

Mrs. Akomeah Also visited schools in Obenimase Kwaemu to educate them on the importance of wearing the nose masks and distributed school bags to the pupils.
