The DCE in his open address asked the representatives of the various communities as to how to curb this worrying issue which the farmers has threatened to even go on demonstration.
Mr Ankomah used the opportunity to clear off the rumours that, he and the MP have conspired with the government of Cote d’Ivoire to take money to open the Sampa Border for the inflow of cashew from La Cote d’ Ivoire to Sampa through the borders.
After an hour of deliberation, as to whether to close the borders or not the representatives of farmers suggested of going back to their various communities to consult them as to whether they should allow the DIASEC of which the DCE is the chairman to close the borders or not.
The DCE therefore tasked them to submit to his office by Monday 8th Match, 2019 their final decision after meeting with members of their communities.
