He said the assembly has constructed 26 classroom blocks and distributed 7,000 furniture to some educational institutions.
He gave the assurance that the assembly would continue to undertake projects aimed at promoting educational performance in the area.
Mr Opare-Addo said this when he inaugurated a six-unit classroom block for the Asaman Presbyterian Primary School.
He said the school block was one of the few uncompleted projects inherited from the previous government adding that many of such projects were still ongoing and would be completed soon.
Mr Opare-Addo said since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) came to power in 2009, a lot of school children had benefited from the government’s free exercise books and school uniforms.
He appealed to parents to consider the education of their children as good investment and commit the necessary resources to it.
Mr Opare-Addo said “communities must realize that they have an obligation in ensuring that quality education is provided by supervising education delivery in their communities.
