60 girls participate in ‘Girls'-In- ICT’ programme
The District Chief Executive for Dormaa West District Assembly, Mr France Kwadwo Oppong together with the Coordinating Director, Mr. Iddrisu Mahama and some Assembly Members Visited 60 girls in the Nkrakwanta Presby JHS, who are taking part in the government’s Girls'-in- ICT programme in the district.

The Girls’-in-ICT is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization (MoCD) and Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT which seeks to address the gap between males and females in technology and digitalization platforms.
The Girls in ICT is an initiative of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Speaking in an interview with the media, the MCE stated that the visit was to interact and also encourage participants to be passionate and committed to what is being taught to ensure the successful implementation of the project in the district.
Mr. Francis Oppong urged the parents to take keen interest in the academic activities of their wards in schools, especially girls in ICT.
He again charged them to learn hard to come out first in the upcoming regional contest in Sunyani
He entreated participants to put in their best in order to become the future IT experts
