Nkrankwanta SHS would be reopened for Academic Works – DCE

The District Chief Executive of Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr Francis Kwadwo Oppong, has disclosed the full academic works of Nkwankwan Senior High School would start on March 8, 2022.

According to Mr. Oppong, although the Thursday rainstorm disaster has destroyed part of the classroom blocks of the school resulting in the casualties of fifteen students of the school, the headmaster assured them that they would go back to the school.

The DCE stated that, the Bono Regional Minister with the consultation with the Bono Regional Director of the Ghana Education Services has advised the authorities of the Nkrwankan JHS that they would arrange classes for5 the students whose classroom blocks were affected by rainstorm under the tree inside the school compound to undergo its normal teaching and learning activities.

Mr. Oppong noted that the headmaster told them that they had planned to arrange classes for the students whose classroom blocks were affected to learn in the limited classrooms of the school.

He assured that the Assembly would speed up the processes to reroof the affected classroom blocks for the two public schools to safeguard the situation.

The DCE encouraged the students not to be scared by the incident but rather take their education seriously as the government is ready to renovate the school.
